Over the past year, multiple justice movements have experienced traction the likes of which we haven’t seen since the 1960s: thousands marching in the streets, young people practicing the discipline of civil disobedience, churches organized and calling legislators to do justice. But on almost every front, we have experienced set-backs that defied logic. Scripture tells us faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. How do we hold on to hope? How do we maintain the long view?
